PV-Trees - Oss
From the website www.wegvandetoekomst.nl: ‘The N329 main road in Oss was elected as Road of the Future. To earn this status, the road has to be leading in the fields of sustainability and visible innovation. Think of an energy-neutral road, responsible material usage, CO2-conscious construction, LED lighting, communication with the road user and wildlife passages.’
Hundreds of bends of Ø101.6 mm steel tube and dozens of rings of 80 x 40 mm hollow section were made by Van Rijsoort for the project Photo-Voltaic Trees. The solar energy trees were sited next to the ‘Road of the Future’ near Oss. Collaboration was the keyword in this project. Through frequent prior consultation between the client and Van Rijsoort, clear agreements could be made.
The lines of the trees coincide exactly, so it was essential that very accurate bending work was delivered. All the bends were made, cut to size and marked with minimal tolerances and deformation. In this way, our customer could immediately get on with the preservation and erection of the trees. The end result of this collaboration can be seen in the photos and on the N329 near Oss.
