Our history

More than 115 years of dedication

1903

The company is founded by H. van Rijsoort. Van Rijsoort Bending begins as a coppersmith and specializes in building copper kettles and producing piping systems for paint factories and breweries. Later on, Van Rijsoort Bending carried out repair work for the shipping industry.

1940

The company’s building was destroyed during the bombardment of Rotterdam (the Netherlands). Shortly after the dust disappeared, work resumed at a temporary location.

1945

Van Rijsoort Bending opens a new factory in the Nijverheidsstraat, Rotterdam South.

1960 - 1968

A variety of bending and rolling machines are acquired.

1973

The bending department of Van Rijsoort Bending moves to Klaaswaal.

1975 - 1979

The first Roundo machine and HPR-16 machine are acquired. Next to the existing hall, a second hall is built.

1991 - 1995

The parent company of Van Rijsoort Bending moves to Ridderkerk and in 1991 a third hall was built in Klaaswaal. The parent company was sold to Numafa.

1996 - 2001

Martin and Jeroen Swinkels, great-grandsons of the founder, buy the bending company in Klaaswaal. They also invest in a Robitec R168; the first CNC mandrel bending machine. Shortly thereafter, the R4S-CNC is also acquired, the first CNC roll bending machine.

2003 - 2005

Van Rijsoort Bending expands again by building a fourth hall in Klaaswaal and establishes a company in Germany: Stabikon GmbH.

2018

Van Rijsoort Bending invests in Europa’s most powerful bending machine to be able to expand its section bending capacity and to take on complex bending projects.
